Time to crowdsource again. With a poor run of results the last few weeks, and some discontent about the direction of Chivas USA's season to this point, we now turn to a match Sunday against the San Jose Earthquakes, who are one of the top teams in the league and have been playing really good soccer to start the season. Although Chivas have success in 2012 in beating the top team in the West, when they beat Real Salt Lake 1-0 on the road, there is certainly some fear that this match will resemble the 5-0 thrashing the Quakes unleashed on the Goats to end the preseason Portland Timbers tournament.
Regardless, a game is happening, and it is up to Chivas players and staff to get as ready as possible and put themselves in the best possible position to get a result. So I'm opening it up again - which formation should Chivas use against San Jose?
You most likely remember the 4-5-1 to start the season. Chivas coach Robin Fraser has since tried out a 4-1-4-1, a 4-3-3, and most recently, a 4-4-2 to see if Chivas could get some consistency. Nothing has jumped out, so he may continue to adjust and change the formation until something sticks.
Have your say:
