USMNT vs. Mexico: TV information, rosters and more

Miguel Tovar

Last friendly before the World Cup rosters are released!

The latest entry of the U.S. Men's National Team-Mexican National Team rivalry is here, as the North American powerhouses face off in Glendale, Ariz. tonight. The game is a nation-based MLS-Liga MX All-Star game of sorts...except Dan Kennedy isn't involved, so scratch that.

Actually, for all of the European-based (and in the case of the US, Mexican-based) players who will be missing, this friendly won't the regular cash-grab that can plague these kind of games that aren't held on FIFA dates. Instead, it's safe to assume both national teams' World Cup squads will be built largely with the players on the rosters for this match. So it should be interesting on that count, beyond the normal rivalry stuff.

And we will almost certainly get to see hot young prospect Julian Green make his USMNT debut. The 18-year-old is the only player based in Europe to get the call.
